Oh my word!

Aw, another of my little pin cushions made it to the front etsy page :D I don't think that I will ever get bored of seeing my little felt things on the front of etsy! And following that, I sold my little red flower brooch.

Little Coasters on Etsy Front Page! Yeeps!

Oh my word, I am so ludicrously excited! As far as I know, none of my little felt things have been on the front page before, I can't stop looking at it! It's such a lovely collection of UK things as well, great to be a part of :D
I am off to Sheffield now to visit my brother and his girlfriend's new house, and have a bit of a lazy evening... I am not going to be able to stop grinning... I'm going to take a spot of pin cushion sewing with me to keep me productive

Rainy rainy rain

I had a wonderful time in Manchester last weekend, on a visit for a friend's party. I discovered on saturday that Affleck's Palace is no longer closing down, which I think is really a good thing. I'm not into all of the mosh stuff these days, but there are some great shops in there - including the wonderful bead shop, where I found some marvelous little teapot beads, that I have made into brooches, as well as a beautiful flower button in delicious pink.

I have also started another batch of sweet, squidgy pin cushions, using bits of material left over from my citrus coasters.

Spring Is In The Air!

I walked into town this evening, and it made me feel so wonderful - such a lovely night, all fresh smelling and spring-like :D yay, I cannot wait for spring! I've had a lovely day today too, having not been at work. I had the third part of my dress making course, which is going really well, I'm so pleased with how my dress is turning out, (I bought the pattern from etsy - http://www.etsy.com/view_transaction.php?transaction_id=6863287 - so pretty).

I have been making some lovely little flower brooches this week, to keep me perky on the dull grey days. I love the combination of colours and shapes... I can't seem to stick to making one kind of thing, I get so easily distracted!... And I'm now planning on making some pin cushion versions of these little flowers, ha.

Pin Cushions Galore

I have been taken over by something of a punning and pin cushion-making frenzy over the past few weeks, the result being a lot of very sweet (and slightly silly) pin cushions taking over our lounge. I find the cutting out of the letters a little stressful, being something of a perfectionist, but I love the sewing-on-the-ruffles part!

In other news, whilst shopping in a super shop in Bristol, I found the most amazing mugs I have ever seen! Look here http://www.emmabridgewater.co.uk/ProductList.aspx?cid=MUGBIR&language=en-GB

Lovely Sunday

I woke up feeling wonderfully productive yesterday morning, and spent a couple of hours cosily sitting in my bed, buried under layers of tickets, pictures, and bits of paraphernalia that I've collected over the past few years - to finally get round to the scrapbooking that I had been planning for months! My bed was an absolute mess, but I'm so pleased to have finally started sticking things in to my lovely scrap book :D
... Ok, that is an awful photo, but it does show a bit of the chaos quite nicely.

2008

I'm hoping that this will help me to keep track of all of the crafty and productive things that I do this year - as a means of staying productive! And also to keep track of all my super internet finds...
